4️⃣ Fantastic Four Trailer Inspires Excitement and Fan Theories

Let's go frame by frame with the new trailer for Fantastic Four: First Steps to see what's up with the new costumes and... Red Ghost?

Tuesday Edition February 4, 2025

It’s been a wild ride following the production of Fantastic Four: First Steps, and hope has never been higher for the superteam since the film rights reverted to Marvel Studios in 2019. Right off the bat, we were enamored with the choice of setting the reboot in the ‘60s, and it’s been almost a year between when those first images appeared on the scene and now — and we finally have our first trailer!

Our full analysis below contains some exciting speculation about the new costumes and other possibilities for the film, but that’s nothing new. Every time we’ve gotten a casting announcement or even leaked photos from the set, we’ve been eager to parse what it could mean for the larger story. Even the teaser that was released ahead of the current trailer had us waxing nostalgic for moments in Marvel’s comics history.

We still have to wait until the summer for the full movie, of course, but until then, the hype is real! Are you excited for the new iteration of the Fantastic Four, not to mention Galactus, H.E.R.B.I.E., and possibly even the Red Ghost?
