Exclusive First Look at Happy Face: A Real Life Serial Killer Story from a New Perspective

Ever wondered what it's like to discover your dad is a notorious serial killer? Melissa G. Moore faced this chilling reality when she learned her father was Keith Hunter Jesperson, infamously dubbed the "Happy Face Killer.” Now, her gripping story is coming to life in the new Paramount+ series, Happy Face, premiering March 20th, and we spoke exclusively to Moore and Annaleigh Ashford, who plays her in the show.

Also starring Dennis Quaid as Jesperson, Happy Face explores Melissa's ongoing struggles, from dealing with her father's manipulative letters from prison to shielding her own children from their grandfather's dark legacy. Ashford's portrayal captures Melissa's resilience and compassion, while Quaid embodies the chilling duality of a father who was both loving and monstrous. This true crime adaptation promises to shed light on the often overlooked impact on the families of perpetrators.

The Accountant 2: How Gavin O’Connor and Ben Affleck Beat the Odds

In the upcoming sequel, The Accountant 2, Ben Affleck returns as Christian Wolff, the math genius with a penchant for danger. This time, he teams up with his estranged brother, Braxton (Jon Bernthal), to unravel a deadly conspiracy following the murder of Treasury Director Ray King (J.K. Simmons). For the Den of Geek SXSW special edition magazine, we spoke to director Gavin O'Connor about the numerous challenges he faced bringing this sequel to life, from studio hurdles to pandemic delays, and how his determination paid off, finding a new home for the franchise.

O’Connor notes the synergy that he has with Affleck, having directed his last three movies, saying, “I can remember Ben saying to me, before we made the first one, ‘I like your taste. I feel like we have similar taste.’ And I think what he meant by that, which I agree, is that he and I have, just artistically and as storytellers, just a similar aesthetic.” With the film set to hit theaters on April 25, fans can anticipate a thrilling blend of action, humor, and brotherly bonding.
