🦖 Jurassic World Rebirth Recaptures Classic Dinosaur Mayhem

Our Jurassic World Rebirth review appreciates the fun pulp adventure of the new sequel that is almost able to leave past faults of Jurassic World predecessors behind.

Monday Edition June 30, 2025

There’s an argument for quitting while you’re ahead. If Squid Game, for example, had three great seasons, why risk an inferior product in a rumored continuation with an entirely new cast? Would a lesser sequel somehow taint the original? I guess that’s a question that Star Wars, Star Trek, and other genre shows likely have to tackle every time there’s another spinoff.

But if our Jurassic World Rebirth reviewer is to believed, redemption is possible. Although the new sequel is far from perfect, it does correct some of the mistakes of previous Jurassic World entries. When it comes right down to it, the question of “should they or shouldn’t they” is a matter of whether or not it can still make money for the production companies, if we’re being cynical about it. But it’s ultimately up to us as viewers to decide whether the story should have ended on a high note… or died a quiet death.
