🏓 Marty Supreme Showcases Timothée Chalamet in Role of a Lifetime

What’s in a name? In the case of our featured story, Marty Mauser being referred to as Marty Supreme by the film’s title says a lot about what the very arrogant main character thinks of himself. Meanwhile, for a video game like Resident Evil Survival Unit, the name sets up certain expectations for a survival horror franchise that has stood the test of time. Will fans consider the new entry worthy of the Resident Evil name?

Stranger Things has taken quite a different approach to names. Instead of anchoring its main villain to the name Vecna, season 5 has introduced him as Mr. Whatsit, a completely new presentation of the previous season’s big bad! Far from diluting the character, the new name actually presented the villain’s motives in a whole new light.

In the end, a name can be descriptive, referential, or innovative with only as much importance as the creators and their fans place upon it.
