MOVIES
The Must-Watch Movies Coming in 2025
With the new year comes a slew of exciting movies to see, from Superman and Fantastic Four to new originals by the likes of Bong Joon-ho and Ryan Coogler! Could 2025 be the year of the last Tom Cruise Mission: Impossible?
Plus, you won’t want to miss the new passion projects from filmmakers as varied as Guillermo del Toro, Paul Thomas Anderson, and Yorgos Lanthimos. It’s going to be a great year for movies!
TV
The Must-Watch TV Shows Coming in 2025
It won’t take long for 2025 to bring us some strong television offerings with some of our favorite shows like Severance and Invincible set to return. Plus, the summer looks like it will be great for Marvel fans with the Ironheart miniseries finally set to premiere as well as the debut of animated series like Eyes of Wakanda and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
Fans should also be on the lookout for the return of Netflix’s The Night Agent, Showtime’s Yellowjackets, and HBO’s The White Lotus, among other highly anticipated offerings in the new year.
GAMES
The Biggest Games Coming in 2025
It seems to be a trend: as the average development time for games continues to grow, more and more major titles are dropping in batches during select years. Like 2023 before it, 2025 is going to be one of those years.
While the upcoming year will rightfully be defined by the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, the year ahead is absolutely stacked for new releases even if that major title ends up getting pushed to 2026. We’ve got our eyes peeled for the likes of Atomfall, Avowed, and Borderlands 4, among others!
"Mickey 17 promises to feature plenty of Bong’s signature blend of comedy, horror, and leftist political satire, [but] Warner has moved the release date up and down five times before settling on March 7. Let’s hope we get to see it in time for March showers.”
