š¢å¾ Sakamoto Days, Ron Howard's Eden, and More!
We've got a Sakamoto Days Part 2 discussion on the Den of Otaku podcast and exclusive interviews with Ron Howard and the young stars of What We Hide.
Friday Edition August 22, 2025
Family is at the center of many dramas, but what if instead of being a part of the conventional narrative, it inspires the story itself? Netflixās Sakamoto Days is certainly an example of an unconventional family, but the close bonds, inner conflicts, and unconditional support we associate with families certainly bring a unique feel to an assassin tale that we normally wouldnāt assign warm feelings to.
And what if a real life family trip, the type of dream vacation normally filled with happiness, inspired an exceptionally dark movie? Such is the case with the film Eden, which has its roots in a discovery director Ron Howard made with his daughter during a GalƔpagos visit. Even our exclusive interview with the young actors in What We Hide speaks to a family bond on-screen that crossed over into their relationship off the set!
It seems that the term āfamily dramaā can be about a lot more than just sibling rivalries and overbearing parents!
