🦑 Squid Game Season 3 Brilliantly Ends a Story That Will Live On

When movie franchises change hands, or when TV shows get new showrunners, it can either mean a refresh for a story that needs a different perspective, or it could portend unwelcome modifications for those who prefer the original. Or things could actually remain faithful and continue relatively the same — you never know!

Such is the situation in today’s newsletter, which finds one chapter of Squid Game ending spectacularly with the promise of more stories in the same universe to come. Any future entries in the franchise will have big shoes to fill, but our season 3 review below proves that the story possibilities remain as strong as ever.

The same could be said for the long-running James Bond franchise, which has passed into new ownership with the prospect of Denis Villeneuve helming the next movie in the post-Daniel Craig era. Big changes are no doubt in store, but Bond has seen so many tweaks over the years that audience tolerance for such things is already pretty high.

Only time will tell what lies ahead for both of these ongoing adventures!
