💎 Inside the Infinity Saga Collection from Marvel & ECG

Go behind the scenes of the most luxurious collectibles ever created for Marvel fans, including a realistic Infinity Gauntlet, Loki Scepter, and more!

Tuesday Edition December 24, 2024

We were fortunate enough to partner with East Continental Gems recently on a live charity auction, which featured some of their luxurious Marvel-inspired jewelry and collectibles. But it’s time to share with you our tour of their showroom, including a visit to their Vault featuring a 1 of 1 life sized Loki Scepter and an Infinity Gauntlet featuring gem stones so rare that it has already been estimated at over $25 million.

As we head into the holidays, we’re also sharing some opinions about a new James Bond plan in the works at Amazon and a breakdown of the Dune: Prophecy finale and its implications for a second season.

Happy holidays to all of our readers!

COLLECTIBLES
Go Inside the Vault at East Continental Gems for the Most Epic Marvel Collection Ever Created

What if you could own your very own Infinity Stones, embodied by actual precious gems like amethyst, topaz, garnet, and more? Or perhaps you’d like your own miniature Infinity Gauntlet rendered in brass and gemstones? This dream could become a reality, thanks to a partnership between Marvel and East Continental Gems, who are taking fandom to a level of luxury never conceived of before.

Our favorite host Aaron Sagers spoke to ECG Vice President Yoni Mirzoeff in their New York showroom to take a look at these unique collectibles, including a visit to the Vault, which houses a one-of-a-kind full-scale Infinity Gauntlet, Loki’s Scepter and an Eye of Agamotto. It’s a feast for the eyes you won’t want to miss!

"This is insane! I feel like if you wield this [Loki Scepter], then you definitely feel like a god. Talk about a Mind Stone: my mind is kind of blown right now looking at this!”

Amazon Turning James Bond into Shared Universe ‘Content’ Is a Terrible Idea

Photo: Eon Productions / Amazon MGM

According to a recent Wall Street Journal exposé, the suits at Amazon are looking to expand the James Bond brand into a sprawling franchise, complete with spinoffs about Miss Moneypenny, a television series, and maybe even alternate Bonds. While it may sound like an abundance of riches to some, a Bond cinematic universe is perhaps ill-advised.

We would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when longtime Bond guardian Barbara Broccoli heard execs refer to the beloved agent as “content” by execs. They may have forgotten that, by long-standing tradition, Bond movies aren’t made by committee for a reason.

Dune: Prophecy Finale Teases a Major Arrakis Storyline for Season 2

Although the Dune: Prophecy finale caps off a premiere season that has hamstringed some of its best actors while clouding its storyline with lore dumps and exposition, a move to Arrakis in the final moments might be setting up a more relatable narrative for season 2.

The series has been renewed by HBO, and with powerhouse actors like Emily Watson and Olivia Williams, we can always hope that the familiar setting from the Villeneuve films will allow the series to grow and thrive despite the arid climate.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 sticks pretty close to Shadow's story from the games, but there's one major difference.

Denzel Washington won his first Oscar for Glory, and you can still trace the scene where he blew ‘em all away.
