🚶🏿 The Long Walk Review & Lessons from The Conjuring's Success
We're sharing our impressions of the bleak Stephen King adaptation The Long Walk, and we've got some thoughts about the box office success of The Conjuring: Last Rites.

Horror is far from dead. Just ask The Long Walk director Francis Lawrence, who adapted one of the earliest works by horror author icon Stephen King. While it’s not the most traditional scary movie in the world, the film is definitely one of the darkest King adaptations we’ve seen in awhile. You’ll have to check out our review to learn about its strong points and shortcomings.
But it’s really The Conjuring: Last Rites that has brought home the idea that theater audiences are still as hungry as ever for good spooky content. On the heels of Sinners, Weapons, and Final Destination: Bloodlines (never mind the success of Superman and A Minecraft Movie), Warner Bros. has really capitalized on the horror genre like no other studio.
