Podcasts have undergone an interesting evolution during the past decade. Once it became easier to upload and host an audio program, it seemed like everyone had their own show, and the market became saturated, making it almost impossible to gain an audience just by being listed on Apple Podcasts or other aggregators.

Somewhere along the line, people started simultaneously releasing their audio content with their video content, sometimes even live-streaming their unscripted show before releasing the episode to their asynchronous listeners. We recently shared our interview with Spotify about this trend, and we certainly have followed this practice with our lineup of podcasts, most recently with our anime discussion show, Den of Otaku.

But we still have a soft spot for entertaining interview shows like The Perfect Parfait, and host Hunter Cope has a real treat in store for the finale (see below). Aaron Sagers also kept us glued to our headphones and our screens with the paranormal podcast Talking Strange. It just goes to show: anyone can have a podcast, but only the best can really grab our attention!
